Where Do We Go From Here

Have you ever wanted to do something for so long and then not been able
to do it? Afterward did you long for the one thing that you think, if
you had taken it one step farther you may have been able to have? That
you didn't push hard enough, didn't scream loud enough, didn't fight
back "with the fury of God's own thunder." Does it eat at you and keep
you up at night? Or does it sneak up on you one night like tonight when
all you can think about is that dream that went from being as bright as
the Star of Bethlehem to being just a glimmer? And even as it is just a
glimmer, it's calling your name, whispering softer now than ever before
yet, louder that you could ever imagine? That's what I'm feeling now and
I don't know what to do. Logic tells me one thing, my heart tells me
another. I'm confused and don't know what to do... I'm cracking I don't
know what to chose; what my logical mind sees or what my heart tells
me - that you see with more than your eyes. Posted by Picasa

The Other America

I found this picture in newsweek and found it to be very powerful. I didn't take it myself though. But this is the type of thing I hope to capture someday

A Change Is Gonna Come

"It's been too hard living but I'm afraid to die. I don't know what's up there beyond the sky..." - A Change Is Gonna Come, Sam Cooke

Tears In Heaven

"Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure and I know there'll be no more tears in heaven..."

Let It Be...

"When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me speaking words of wisdom, let it be..." - Let It Be, The Beatles

Winter Mist

The beauty of the winter is such a driving force to take photographs, I couldn't help myself.

For Unto Us A Child Is Born

"But the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with God.
You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; his kingdom will never end." Lk 1:30-33

Ghost

If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
-John Donne

The Folks

I will watch you in the darkness
Show you love will see you through
When the bad dreams wake you crying
I'll show you all love can do
All love can do

I will watch through the night
Hold you in my arms
Give you dreams where none will be
I will watch through the dark
'Til the morning comes or the light
I'll take you through the night to see
Our light showing us our love can be

I will guard you with my bright wings
Stay 'til your heart learns to swim

All love can be...

Accidental Abstraction

"There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality."

-Pablo Picasso

From A Distance

From a distance
The world looks blue and green
And the snow capped mountains white
From a distance
The ocean meets the stream
And the eagle takes to flight

From a distance
There is harmony
And it echoes through the land
Its the voice of hope
Its the voice of peace
Its the voice of every man

From a distance
We all have enough
And no one is in need
And there are no guns, no bombs and no disease
No hungry mouths to feed
From a Distance
We are instruments
Marching in a common band
Playing songs of hope
Playing songs of peace
They are the songs of every man

From a distance
There is harmony
And it echoes through the land
Its the voice of hope
Its the voice of peace
Its the voice of every man

God is watching us
God is watching us
God is watching us
From a distance

From a distance
You look like my friend
Even though we are at war
From a distance
I just cannot comprehend
What all this fightings for

From a distance
There is harmony
And it echoes through the land
And its the hope of hopes
Its the love of loves
Its the heart of every man
